Faith

We are a Christian campground that is supported by many local churches. Our campers do not have to have any religious or denominational affiliation to attend. We encourage all children to come to Camp Washington for a week of seeking God and fellowship.

STAFF

We hire skilled counselors with years of experience with children and camp ministry. Each staff member goes through an application process where we check references and they are background checked. Each of them then goes through our required training and have basic first aid and CPR training. We generally hire more staff than the state required counselor to camper ratio. We have a nurse present at all times and our kitchen is required to have ServSafe certification. We also have a certified life guard on the grounds.

Our Programs

Our program includes a daily Bible lesson, team competitions, free time to be used for swimming, gaga, dodgeball, tetherball, archery, etc., elective courses that the camper chooses that include options like music, sports, archery, crafts/art, wilderness explorers, delicious food and much more. Each evening we close the night with a fun activity whether it be a campfire, night swim or an activity that corresponds to our camp theme for the year.

Lodging & Dining

We believe in the value and teachings of the Bible which include that there are only two genders male and female. WACC provides separate cabins and bathrooms for boys and girls. All campers are served breakfast lunch and dinner in the dining hall and we cater to all health concerns and dietary restrictions. There is also an opportunity for your child to go to the "snack shack" daily where they can buy ice cream, soda, candy, popcorn. etc. Most parents will provide $10-15 for the week and are given back any remainder when picking up their child.
